Section C is Budget Justification. Not “how much we’d like.” Not “what we hope to spend.” It’s “here’s every line item, why it’s needed, and how we priced it.” Labor. Software licenses.

Hardware. Travel. Only if absolutely required.

No vague entries like “miscellaneous expenses.”

Save early. Save often. The portal doesn’t auto-save.

I lost two hours once because I assumed it did.

Before submitting, download your draft as PDF. Print it. Read it aloud.

You’ll catch missing verbs, weird phrasing, and logic gaps.

The most common technical error? Copy-pasting formatted text from Word or Google Docs. It breaks the field. Paste into Notepad first.

Then paste into the form.

You’ll see a red warning if you skip a required field. But the system won’t flag weak justification. That’s on you.
